At Holy Ka’abah, Tinubu Seeks Divine Intervention for Nigeria
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has performed the lesser Hajj (Umrah) in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, offering prayers for sustainable peace, national unity, security and prosperity in Nigeria.
The President undertook the spiritual exercise early Friday at the Grand Mosque, Masjid al-Haram, where he circumambulated the Holy Ka’abah in worship and thanksgiving to Almighty Allah for His blessings upon Nigeria and its citizens.
Speaking with journalists shortly after completing the religious rites, Tinubu described the Umrah as significant, linking the spiritual exercise to his commitment to Nigeria, its people and the responsibilities of leadership.
“I believe this Umrah is very significant for the love of our people, commitment to the job and our country, Nigeria; commitment to the will of Allah that His words must prevail, and that there’s no other God but Him and He’s the only one that makes a human being what he can be and what he would be in life,” he said.
