NYSC Opens Radio Station, Buys Smart Limbs for Corps Member
The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) will commission a radio station next year while it plan to procure smart limb for a corps member who lost his right hand in the course of travelling to his place of primary assignment in Taraba.
The news of NYSC’s kind gesture to the lucky corps member was revealed by the Corps’ Director General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim at a meeting with NYSC media correspondents in Abuja.
He said the corps will get the brand new smart prosthetic limbs worth 32 million naira while the Corps’ radio station would commence full operation in 2020.

“The health of corps members is of great essence to the Scheme and to safeguard it, we are re-strategizing with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in order to ensure that corps members are covered by the NHIS.”

The NYSC boss, pointed out that they are leaving no stone unturned in protecting the sanctity of the Scheme by weeding out unqualified elements dubiously seeking to be part of the Scheme with the intent of validating their forged certificates.
