Nigeria sets to Strengthen ties with UAE on Security, others

The Hon. Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammad Maigari Dingyadi has said that the relationship between Nigeria and United Arab Emirates (UAE) have over the years been cordial and the economic ties between the two countries is positively evident. Welcoming the Ambassador of UAE to Nigeria, Dr Fahab AITaffag, on Friday 28th February 2020, the Hon. Minister commended the rate at which business is exchanged between the two countries, and pledged partnership with the UAE in terms of security and other endeavours

Speaking earlier, the Ambassador said part of his mission is to explore more cooperation on the way forward in terms of security while inviting the Honourable Minister and his team to meet and interact with the Police hierarchy of the UAE.

He informed the Honourable Minister of the forthcoming International Security Council (ISC) in March at the UAE which will avail Nigeria the opportunity to meet with other Security Moguls across the globe thereby aiding Nigeria in mapping out new strategies to combat insecurity. He solicited Nigeria’s support in the forthcoming INTERPOL election in which the UAE is filing a candidate.
