Police Nab Spare-Part Robbery Syndicate in Anambra, Advise Zamfara Motorists on Covid-19
On the 5/5/2020 at about 11:30am following intelligence report,Police operatives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) arrested at different locations within Nkpor axis the following syndicate,
(i) Emeka Onyeoma ‘m’ aged 23 years,
(ii) Chidiebele Amaluaka ‘m’ aged 22 years and,
(iii) Ezenwaokolo Ikechukwu ‘m’ aged 20 years respectively.
Suspects had on 24/2/2020 at about 2:30pm allegedly lured one Pastor Uche Iheme ‘m’ aged 41 years of Awomama,Imo State, to a location behind First Bank Oyeolisa Ogidi and snatched his Toyota RAV4 Car with Reg number GRE 170 AA, Samsung J4 phone valued #82,000 and cash sum of Five thousand($5000) US Dollars.
The suspects equally shot the victim on his left limb and fled, leaving him unconscious in the pool of his blood.
Discreet investigation also led to the arrest of their receiver one Abuchi James ‘m’ aged about 30 years at Mgbuka Obosi where the snatched vehicle was completely dismantled and sold out but the engine was recovered.
Meanwhile,exhibits recovered from the suspects include one barreta pistol with three rounds of .9mm ammunition as well as the engine of the snatched vehicle.
Case under investigation afterwhich suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution, please.

Situation is brought under Control and Eight suspects have been arrested so far.One person was confirmed dead and four persons sustained varying degrees of injuries and are presently receiving treatment at the hospital .A peace meeting was held today at the Local Government Secretariat, Anaku in Anyamelum LGA. The meeting comprises of Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly Hon. Uche Okafor, Transition Committee Chairman Barrister Benjamin Onyeabo, Representative of the Commissioner of Police DCP Chris Owolabi,Chairman Anyamelum tradional Rulers,Igwe of Omasi HRH.Igwe Benjamin Okejie,Igwe of Omor HRM. Igwe Sir, Chinedu Oranu,Igwe of Umumbu HRH Igwe Simeon Chidubem,Igwe of Ifite Ogwari HRH A I Ofuebe.
Other Stakeholders in the peace meeting includes Rev Professor Benjamin Eboh,Chief Paul Odembo(Secretary SEMA)President generals of Omo and Umumbu Communities,Representatives of the Army,DSS,NSCDC and the Divisional Police Officer of Anaku Division SP Victor Osuasa.
Meanwhile,Joint Security teams are on ground patrolling the Communities in order to ensure no further breakdown of law and order while investigation is ongoing to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident with a view to finding lasting solution to the lingering dispute.

COVID-19 – Police Urge Motorists, Passengers on Face Masks in Zamfara
In its effort to contain the spread of Coronavirus known as “COVID-19” in the state, the Zamfara state enforcement committee for COVID-19, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police Zamfara state Command CP Usman Nagogo psc+ has called on the general public especially Private/Commercial Drivers, “Okada” riders, KEKE NAPEP Operators and their passengers to always wear Face Mask, wash their hands and observe social distance.
The call became necessary considering the prevailing situation people have found themselves because of Coronavirus pandemic. CP Usman Nagogo said, all hands must be on deck to contain the rapid spread of the deadly virus. He urges members of the public to abide by all government orders so that the desired result can be achieved.
He appreciates the good people of the state for complying with the restrictions of movement order which is currently going on and appeals for continued cooperation to this regard.
