KNSG To Convert Refuse Dump Site To Sports Ground – Kwankwaso

Kano state Governor, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso  has directed the state Ministry of Land and Physical Planning to convert the refuse dumping ground at Court Road in Kano metropolis  to sports field for people around the area and provide alternative and modern refuse disposal site for the people of the area.
 
He said the present site is constituting health hazard to the people of the area and it has to be changed to save the people from having unnecessary problems.
 
Similarly, the governor instructed the Ministry to construct an Islamiyya School close to the Friday mosque at Amana City for inhabitants to enroll their children. 
 
He gave the directives during an inspection visit to various on-going projects across the city on Monday, pointing out that Islamic education and games are very paramount to the physical and psychological well being of members of the society hazard to the people. 
 
Governor Kwankwaso further ordered contractors at Amana and Kwankwasiyya Cities to speed up work on culverts and drainages, noting further with dismay that the way some interlocks were laid in the two cities contravened the contractual specifications.
 
He, therefore, ordered the contractors to remove the interlocks and replace them appropriately as agreed upon by the both parties. The governor also visited Kofar Nassarawa flyover which is nearing completion.
