. PRNigeria to supports news syndication

The Federal Ministry of Information has announced digitilization of Contributions to FMI website through direct contributions of news releases, features and photographs through its portal.
In a notice by Oyetomi A. O, Cordinator FMI Web Platform said affected officers are required @to visit the IT Department physically from Monday, 11th January 2016 to 11th February, 2016 to sign up on the new Ministry’s platform through which you will henceforth submit your reports/features/phtographs for use on Federal Ministry of Information Website.”
While the statement further added that the IT Department may not continue to pick reports from RIONigeria Platform, it said the new system would enable officers to sign in on the pages of the Ministry’s website and send in their reports/features directly by themselves with their username which would automatically earn their by-line once they visit ITD to sign up and post their story through the new platform.
He said “To sign up therefore, please come in person and be identified as an RIO, be assigned your roles and you will thereafter be able to log in and submit your contributions…. Singing up will close by 11th February, 2016.”
Meanwhile the management of PRNigeria, the leading private Press/News Release platform in Nigeria will continue to pick Press Releases from the RIONigeria platform ([email protected]) for publication in the news syndicate platformwww.prnigeria.com.
