Covid 19: Katsina Govt Donates Materials for NCoS Isolation Center

The Katsina State Government under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari has donated palliative packages and facilities to the Nigerian Correctional Service isolation center opposite Na-tsinta Army barrack along Jibia road as part of state government commitment to curb the spread of the Covid 19 pandemic.

The state government donated 400 mattress, 15 bundle of mats, 100 buckets, 100 blankets, 400 cups, 400 eating pan and other utensils, 10 cooking pots (No. 30), 200 big padlocks, 1 Big grinding machine for grains, 1 small grinding machine for vegetables, 100 Cartons of multi purpose soap, 500 Mosquito nets, 500 bathroom slippers, 3 Infra red thermometer, 50 Hand sanitizer, 5 Packs of disposable face mask, 250 hand made face mask, 30 gallon of Izal disinfectants (1 litter each), 1 Generator (65 KVA), 1 Desktop computer, 1 Printer, 1 Photocopy machine, 1 Stabilizer (2000w), 10 Office table, 10 Chairs, 2 office cabinet, Assorted drugs, Hospital Kits and Laboratory apparatus.

Other interventions includes; the fencing of the clinic with zinc roofing sheet, security barrier at checkpoint using G I pipe, fumigation and clearing of the surrounding, water supply and reticulations, generator stand, shed and security shed.

While receiving the donation on behalf of the Controller General of Corrections, Ja’afaru Ahmed, the Controller of Corrections Katsina State Command, Muhammad Abdulmumin Haruna, applauded the effort and timely intervention of Katsina State Government, and promised that the service will make proper use of the donated items.
