Buratai Seeks Defence Ministry’s Support for Training Army Personnel Oversea
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, has sought for the support of the Ministry of Defence for the training of Army personnel abroad, saying this will go a long way in strengthening the capacity of military officers.
He said the training will focus on operational capacity building, force sustainment and intelligence and analysis.
Lt. Gen. Buratai made the appeal when he hosted the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Defence, Mr Babangida Husseini, who visited him at the Army Headquarters in Abuja.

The Army Chief emphasised the need for the continuous training and re-training of army personnel for them to be able to tackle the current security challenges facing the nation.
On his part, Husseini, promised to provide necessary support for the Nigerian Army, together with its officers and men.
He said upon resumption of office, he started working towards putting in place the right policy framework that will help to position the Defence Ministry.
He, therefore, called for a continuous synergy between their Ministry and the Army, for a robust and constructive engagements.
