Fulani Herders are Not Migrating to Ekiti Forest- Police
The attention of the Ekiti State Police Command has been drawn to a publication in some section of the media alleging that herdsmen have relocated to Ekiti State forests following the eviction order to them in Ondo forest reserves by the Ondo State Governor.
The Command wishes to inform the general public, particularly the people of Ekiti State, that it has neither sighted nor received any report of herders migrating or relocating into the State or its forest reserves.

The Command therefore, calls on all and sundry to disregard such fake and fictitious story, adding that the story was just a mere imagination of the source.
The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP TUNDE MOBAYO, while assuring the people of Ekiti State of adequate security, calls on everyone to be calm, vigilant and report any strange and suspicious persons found in their environs to the nearest Police Station or call 0806 233 5577 for prompt action.
The Commissioner, while also imploring members of the public to always verify the source and authenticity of every information they receive via the social media, warns newsmen against fake and unverified publications that could cause apprehension in the Society, as such shall no longer be tolerated
