Sheikh Khalid Won’t Lead Jumm’at Service in New Mosque
The former Imam of Apo Legislative Quarters, Abuja, Sheikh Nuru Khalid, popularly known as the Digital Imam, will not lead Juma’at (Friday) congregational prayer in a new Mosque on Friday.
This is contrary to the information that went round earlier in the week that the Imam had gotten another appointment and will resume Jumm’at sermons this Friday.

Speaking to POLITICS DIGESTPOLITICS DIGEST on Thursday, the celebrated preacher said that he would not observe the jumma’at (Friday) prayer in the new Mosque due to some reasons beyond his control.
He also said for some personal reasons, he will not talk to the media again until after Ramadan.
“This was a decision I made this morning and I won’t compromise it,” he said.
He said he will just keep doing Ramadan Tafsir in the Mosque in front of his house, for now.
It would be recalled that the Imam was suspended and subsequently sacked by the resident committee of Apo Mosque over an anti-government sermon he delivered on the Kaduna-Abuja train attack that claimed about seven lives and got 21 persons kidnapped.
