Kaduna Electricity Boss, General Lagbaja Re-affirm Commitment to Improve Service Delivery
The Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, Engr. Yusuf Usman Yahaya has called on customers of the Company and stakeholders alike to support the renewed vigour of the Company to meet all its obligations to the electricity market while pledging his commitment to ensuring sustainable improvement in service delivery.
Engr. Yahaya made the statement today in Kaduna when he led the Management of the Company on a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding, 1 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General T. A. Lagbaja.
He disclosed that the focus of the Company under his leadership is to sustain improvement in service delivery as well as meeting its obligations to the market.
“The Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry is facing numerous challenges, one of which is the difficulty being faced by the players in meeting their financial obligations to the market. I cannot but appeal to the General to ensure that the Division discharges its obligation to our Company to enable us sustain and even improve our performance in service delivery”, he asserted.

Engr. Yahaya thanked the GOC and all our service men and women for their sacrifices in ensuring our collective safety as well as providing the enabling environment for critical national institutions like Kaduna Electric to operate.
He also thanked the GOC for the opportunity to have what he called “the constructive engagement” and urged him to sustain the good work.
In his response, the General Officer Commanding, 1 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General T A Lagbaja assured the Managing Director that the 1Division will always be responsive to its obligations to the Kaduna Disco and directed the Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Logistics of the Division to follow through with the relevant department in the Army Headquarters to ensure settlement of the monthly bills while effort is being made to offset the backlog.
General Lagbaja disclosed that a committee is working at Army Headquarters to reconcile all outstanding utility bills across the Country and assured that as soon as the Committee is done with its assignment, payment of outstanding shall commence.
He pledged to collaborate with Kaduna Disco to ensure mutually beneficial working relationship between the two organisations.
