NSCDC Boss Warns Commandants over Alleged Conspiracy with Oil Thieves
The Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has vowed to sanction all Corp officials who conspire with criminals to steal the country’s crude oil.
The NSCDC boss threatened to probe any Zonal Commanders and State Commandants who compromise and sabotage the country’s economy
Audi gave the charge, on Friday, at a strategic Corp meeting with Anti-vandalization Units, Zonal Commanders, and State Commandants held at the NSCDC Headquarters, Abuja.
Audi said: “It’s stated clearly in the document published by the Office of the National Security Adviser under the national security strategy to protect all critical national assets and Infrastructure.

“The Corps’ Management under my supervision has taken several proactive measures/steps to stem the tide of oil theft and vandalization which includes but is not limited to the setting up of the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad.
“Members of the Anti-Vandal Squad must re-dedicate themselves to our collective goal and objective to curb and checkmate crime and eradicate incidences of oil theft/oil bunkering and vandalization of oil pipelines and other Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI).
He further stated that the management has commenced discrete investigation into the activities of the Anti-Vandal Squads across the States while those found culpable in any act of criminal connivance capable of damaging the image of the Corps will be severely sanctioned to serve as a deterrent.
