Shuaib Gara Gombe Meets NUJ, NAWOJ, Unveils Agenda for Media Management in Gombe
Towards fostering a mutual relationship between the Gombe State government and the media, Alh. Gara Gombe Ahmed Shuaibu, the newly-appointed Special Adviser on Information Management and Strategy to Gombe Governor, has met with relevant media associations in the State.
PRNigeria gathered that he separately met with executives of the Gombe Chapter of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Sports’ Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), and the Correspondents’ Chapel in the State.

Gara Gombe stated that the aim of his visits to the media associations was to formally introduce himself to journalists and discuss ways to promote partnership with the state government, in advancing ethical and developmental journalism.
He recognized the need for training and improved logistics and involvement of journalists in the State Government’s affairs, as a way of bettering the relation between their State Government and journalists.
He assured members of the press of more engagement in more committees and policy implementation programs of the Inuwa Yahaya-led administration.
PRNigeria gathered that the Chairpersons, separately thanked Gara Gombe, one of Nigeria’s celebrated football administrators, for his visit and highlighted the major challenges facing their professional bodies.
They however pledged to support him, as he settled down to discharge the responsibilities of his new position.
