Hajj 2023: NAHCON Boss Meets Ulama as 13,778 Pilgrims Airlifted to Saudi in 33 Flights

Hajj 2023: NAHCON Boss Meets Ulama as 13,778 Pilgrims Airlifted to Saudi in 33 Flights

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Chairman, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, on Wednesday met with the Council of Ulama at the Hajj House in Abuja.

The meeting according to the Commission was held to discuss pertinent issues concerning the 2023 Hajj operations and to foster a stronger working relationship between NAHCON and religious scholars.

Accompanied by the Commissioner of Operations and Licensing, Alhaji Abdullahi Magaji Hardawa, the Commissioner of PPMF, Alhaji Nura Hassan Yakasai, and the Commissioner of PRSILS, Sheikh Suleiman Momoh, the NAHCON boss thanked the Ulama for their presence and acknowledged their invaluable contribution to Hajj operations over the years.

He sought the guidance of the Ulamah for the Commission and the pilgrims who he said have over the years benefitted from the sermon of the scholars.

The Chairman assured the Ulamah that their suggestions and concerns would be considered. He emphasised NAHCON’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful 2023 Hajj operations that will provide a safe and spiritually enriching experience for all Nigerian pilgrims.

The scholars also shared their perspectives on the ongoing Hajj exercise and tabled their recommendations to the Commission.

Meanwhile, the Commission has successfully airlifted a total number of 13,778 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia since the airlifting started last Thursday.

PRNIGERIA can report that as at early morning on Thursday, a total number of 33 flights have left different airports across the country with Nigerian pilgrims.

PRNIGERIA tracker can also authoritatively report that with FLYNAS flight XY5678 which departed Lagos to Madinah at few minutes pass 12am on Thursday carrying 390 (173 Males and 217 Females) Lagos Pilgrims, the total number of flights is now 33 and pilgrims so far airlifted are now 13,778.
