Niger Delta Ministry Welcomes New Perm. Sec., Aminu Aliyu Bisalla

The Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs on Monday, officially welcomed a new Permanent Secretary, Mr. Aminu Aliyu Bisalla to take charge of the Administrative activities of the Ministry.

Mr. Bisalla who stated that his mission in the Ministry was to support the Minister and the Minister of State in carrying out the Ministry’s mandate, called on the management and staff of the Ministry to re-energise the team spirit and team work in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs in the discharge of their duties.

“The success of the Ministry lies in group work.” He added that as a specialized Ministry, there was a lot of work to do.

“Let us review critically what we have been doing in the past so as to know what we can do differently to make life better for the people of the Niger Delta region and Nigeria in general.” He reiterated.

The Permanent Secretary pledged to run a very transparent and accountable office that would guarantee efficiency and effectiveness in the running of government’s business in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.

Earlier, Why handing over to the incoming Permanent Secretary, the Director, Overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary and the Director Finance in the Ministry, Mr. Moses Chimereze Okpo, said he was happy because: “I have dressed in a borrowed robe for some time, I can concentrate in handling the affairs of my office now”.

He welcomed the new Accounting Officer to the Ministry, saying the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs was set up to carry out intervention programmes and projects in the Niger Delta region. Mr. Okpo assured the new Permanent Secretary of the support and cooperation of management and staff of the Ministry towards the development of the Niger Delta Region and Nigeria.

Until his redeployment into the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Aminu Aliyu Bisalla was the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).
