The Senate today at the Committee of the Whole considers the request of Mr. President for the confirmation of eight nominees as
Ministers of the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in accordance with section 147(2) of the 1999 constitution as amended.
Four of the nominees were screened today while the screening of others were deferred to next Wednesday. Those screened today include Senator Patricia Akwashiki, Prof. Nicholas Akise Ada, Col. Augustine Okwudiri Akobundu, rtd, and Engr. Fidelis Nwankwo.
Those to be screened next week are Mrs Hauwa’u Lawan, Senator Mohammed Musiliu Obanikoro , Mr. Kenneth Kobani and Senator Joel Danlami Ikenya.
