Wife Of President Breaks Fast With The Less Privileged

The Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari on Friday, July 3, 2015 assured Nigerians that her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari will not let them down, as he is focused on improving their living conditions.
Speaking during the breaking of Ramadan fast with the less privileged at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja, Mrs Buhari noted that Ramadan is one of the Pillars of Islam that teach care, love and forgiveness, adding that it was in this regard that she specially organized the dinner “to show love … because we are all one in the sight of God.”
She commended the peaceful conducts of Nigerians before and after the last elections, and enjoined them to continue in the same spirit for the progress of the country.
While appreciating the inputs of the less privileged to the success of the Presidential election, Mrs Buhari stated: “We won the election through team work. Let the team work continue. The President cannot do it alone, he needs your support. Please support him.”
“You know that the nation is passing through a transition, therefore, there is need for all to support this government to succeed.
“I also want to acknowledge your contributions in various fields to the socio-economic development which are very important to the survival of our nation, she added
Among those who attended the breaking of fast include cripples, the blind, deaf and dumb, as well as others with various types of disabilities. Also present were taxi drivers, Keke operators Okada riders, tailors, hairdressers/barbers, albinos, orphans, mai-guards and house helps.
Mrs. Buhari was joined at the event by wife of the Imo State Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Okorocha; wife of the Nassarawa State Governor, Mrs. Tanko Al-Makura: wife of the former governor of Rivers State, Mrs. Judith Amaechi; former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire; and a former member of the House of Representatives, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa among others.
In expression of appreciation of the masses of our great country, Nigeria, the Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari will on Friday, July 3 , 2015 break the Ramadan Fast in the Presidential Villa with the less privileged of the society.
