The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) , Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu has directed that 50,000 personnel be stationed in strategic locations nationwide to ensure a very smooth and peaceful yuletide season.
The helmsman who gave this directive at the Corps National Headquarters , Abuja , beckoned on Christians to continue to walk in the footsteps of the Lord JESUS CHRIST.
According to him “I implore all Christians both in Nigeria and all over the world , that the great virtues laid down by Jesus Christ is worthy of emulation always, as this season of Christmas is a time encapsulated in love. The Haves should remember the less privileged be they Christians and non Christians and extend a token of their love to them ”.
Gana prayed the Almighty God to keep Nigeria safe throughout this period and usher all citizens into the new year 2016 in long life and joyous prosperity, declaring that by the power of the Almighty God the new year 2016, is a very good year for all Nigerians.
The Chief Executive Officer of the NSCDC called on Nigerians every where to be very security conscious , as some persons also cash in on this yuletide season to express themselves in acts of vandalism and destruction of infrastructures important to both government and the populace .
Abdullahi promised that the highly motivated NSCDC personnel on ground nationwide will not hesitate to rise and quell any occasion of security threat.
The Leader of the Civil Defence pleaded with other security Agencies on synergy , noting , that when security Agencies cooperate with each other in the discharge of their constitutional mandates, the job to be done however magnitude becomes very easy and positive goals achieved, while the output of our collective effort is that Nigeria will be a haven of peace.
