Mr. Ogenyi made this pledge on Monday January 25th, 2016 when the state governor Alhaji Kashuim Shetimma paid him a courtesy call in his office. He said such assistance/support will be in the areas covered by the MDGs such as schools/healthcare centers, rehabilitation, reconstruction and reintegration as well as provision of portable water.

Earlier the Governor praised the efforts of the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that, there is now some level of sanity in the environment as the Military are working hard to dislodge the insurgence from every angle, he said people that were afraid to come home started coming.

He solicited support towards building mega schools, hospitals and training centers to enable them engage most of the youths that are idle and jobless, stressing that “an idle man is the devils workshop”. He hopes that MDGs will consider Borno as most deserving state for infrastructural development in view of the destruction made by the insurgents.
