The FCT Police Command seizes this medium to warn members of the public to guard against opening their gates to strangers that have not been verified by them.The Command has observed through available intelligence that some criminal syndicates have device a novel means of gaining easy access into peoples’ residents with criminal intention.
Members of these syndicates who operate mostly at night go to the extent of living the inner light of their cars on to allay any suspicion from gate-men. They use expensive jeep and dispossess their victims of cash, jewelleries and phones
The Police Command enjoins residents to be vigilant and guard against welcoming strangers without first verifying the identity of such persons. Residents should also endeavour to educate their gate-men on the need to always verify before opening the gate to strangers.
