Niger State governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has assured youths in the state of a free and level playing ground for self expression that will lead to meaningful contribution for the development of the state.
He gave this assurance on Sunday at the Minna Choral Society (MCS) 8th annual Festival of Songs in Minna.
Gov. Sani Bello said that his administration is determined to give equal opportunities to youths in the state to enable them develop their potentials and God-given talents.
This he said explained why his administration has continued to engage youths in various aspects of capacity building.

The governor decried the increasing deterioration of morality among youths in the state and urged them to shun any act capable of undermining the collective existence of the state and the country.
“You are the ones we are looking up to for the natural carriage and transmission of our heritage as Nigerians. We believe in you, we support you and we will not fail you,” he assured.
The governor then commended the organiser of the festival of songs stressing that music has a far-reaching effect on the society and promised government support for future festival.
Earlier, the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Choral Society, Dr. Yerima El-Samaila said that the choristers, who consist mainly of students of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, have practised hard to bring in their best.
The Choral Society rendered songs which include, Heal our Nation, The song of the soldier, see, Nigeria shall praise the Lord, Nigeria, Land of our birth amongst others.
