The office of the Attorney General of the Federation today arraigned a Supreme Court Judge, Justice Sylvester Nwali Ngwuta before the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja, for alleged false asset declaration on 8 count charge.
The Supreme Court Judge pleaded not guilty on the all charges slammed on him by the Attorney General of the Federation, the prosecution counsel led by the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation U. E. Muhammad urged the Tribunal to step down proceeding pending when his witness is available.
However, the defence counsel led by Chief Kanu G. Agabi (SAN), apply for the bail of his client which the Justice Danladi Yakubu Umar led Tribunal gladly granted on self-recognition of the defence.
The Tribunal Chairman, subsequently adjourned to 6th of July, 2017, for commencement of trial at the instance of both defence and prosecution counsel.
