In pursuance therefore, there will be restriction of vehicular movements until after the Eid prayers on 1/9/2017. The restriction though regretted, will include the use of motor vehicles, tricycles, bicycles and animals except those on essential duties.

In addition,, the public, especially youths who carry knives and other dangerous weapons on their persons to prayer grounds or recreation parks like the zoo, are by this released, warned that if arrested, they would be treated as common criminals and prosecuted.
While wishing all and sundry a happy sallah celebration, the command advises the general public to be security conscious at all times, and to report promptly a y strange or suspicious person(s), movements or object(s) to the nearest police officer /station or other security services.
