NEPZA Welcomes Engr. Oni’s Appointment to board

The Managing Director of Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA), Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Jime, has congratulated the former Governor of Ekiti State, Engr. Olusegun Adebayo Oni, on his well-deserved appointment as the Chairman of the NEPZA Board.

Engr. Oni, who is the Deputy National Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), was among the 209 board chairmen and 1258 board members appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari on December 29, 2017!

While also congratulating Messrs. Kabiru Tafida, Sadiq H. Gwarzo and Taiwo Okunlola, the three other appointed board members, Jime said by their well-considered appointments, the President was proving by word and deed that he was committed to taking NEPZA to the next level.

In the congratulatory message,  issued on Sunday in Abuja and signed by the Head, NEPZA Corporate Communications, Mr. Simon Imobo-Tswam, the managing director said the wealth of experience of Engr. Oni and his “distinguished members would be of tremendous value to the Authority at this material time.”

The message reads: “Sir, on behalf of the management and staff of Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA), I wish to warmly welcome you and heartily congratulate you, Engr. Olusegun Adebayo Oni, on your well-deserved appointment as the new Chairman of the NEPZA Board.

“In the same vein, I also extend my heart-felt felicitations, through you, to the other distinguished and equally deserving members of your team, Alh. Kabiru Tafida, Alh. Sadiq H. Gwarzo and Hon. Taiwo Okunlola. Your wealth of experience and that of of your distinguished members would be of tremendous value to the Authority at this material time.

“By your well-considered appointments, Mr. President has further shown, by word and deed, that he is staunchly committed to comprehensively repositioning NEPZA for service-delivery, and taking her to the next level.

“Mr. Chairman, sir, with your rich, composite and cosmopolitan experience as a teacher, unionist, journalist engineer, bureaucrat, technocrat, grassroots mobilizer, entrepreneur, sales specialist, international consultant, honorific chieftaincy title-holder (the Asiwaju of Ifaki-Ekiti) and former state governor, I have no doubt that your team and tenure hold great prospects for the Authority.

“I welcome you to NEPZA, and wish you and your illustrious board members the divine wisdom to succeed in this historic national assignment.

“Once again, sirs, congratulations on your well-deserved appointments.”
