South-South, North-West Lead Pack of Buhari’s Dead appointees
As Nigerians continue to express outrage over President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointment of dead people into boards of Federal Government, South-South and North-West geopolitical zones are leading the pack of dead appointees.

PRNigeria discovers that, from the nine names mentioned in the media so far, the South-South (S/S) and North-West (N/W) have three dead appointees each. While the North-East (NE) has two dead appointees, the North Central (NC) recorded only one dead person appointed into the Federal government board.

The dead appointees from the South-South include Late Senator Francis Okpozo from Delta State who died in December 2016 but was named the chairman of the board of the Nigerian Press Council; Donald Ugbaja, former Deputy Inspector General of Police also from Delta State who died in November but listed was as one of the members of the Consumer Protection Council and Dr. Nabbs Imegwu, a former commissioner for culture and tourism in Rivers State who was appointed to the board of the National Orthopedic Hospitals.

The Dead appointees from the North-West include late Garba Attahiru from Kaduna State appointed to chair the board of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa; late Umar Dange an APC leader in Sokoto State, who was appointed as a board member of the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta and
Comrade Ahmed Bunza, former sole administrator of Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi state who died at Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto.

Similarly, Kabir Umar, a former Emir of Katagum in Bauchi State, who died on December 9, was on the board of the Federal Medical Centre, Azare, Bauchi.

From the North-East was a former Emir of Katagun in Bauchi State, Kabir Umar, who died on December 9, was on the board of the Federal Medical Centre, Azare, Bauchi and Magdalene Kumu, from Taraba State who was appointed a member, National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB)

In the North-Central Benue-born Catholic Priest and founder of Fidei Polytechnic, Late Reverend Father Christopher Utov who died in March but was listed as a board member of the Nigeria Institute of Social and Economic Research Board

So far, there are no dead appointees from South East (SE) and South West (SW) named in the newly constituted board of government agencies.
