US Embassy Provides Library in Gboko Prison
The Hon. chief of Benue State, Hon. Justice Adam Ochume Onum has inspected the Library donated to Gboko Prison by the Embassy of the United States of America in Nigeria and also granted bails to some awaiting trial inmates.
The library is patronized by prisoners with 13 inmates who registered for National Examination Council (NECO) exam are utilising in their studies.
The Chief Judge used his visit on jail delivery exercise to grant bails to 5 awaiting trial inmates while another was discharged.
Justice Onum commended the state prison authority for using the library for inmates’ reformation.
The officer in charge of Gboko Prison, Assistant Controller of Prison, Ortsega Jeremiah appreciated the CJ, the controller of Prisons, Benue State command, Mr Peter Pevigo and other members of Criminal Justice Committee for making the exercise come through.
