NAF Lauches Operation Thunder Strike in North-East
On 14 May 18, the Air Task Force commenced the conduct of Operation THUNDER STRIKE. The Operation is an independent Air Interdiction by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to attack selected Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT) locations in the Northeast, which are currently inaccessible to own troops on account of the onset of the rainy season.
Several targets have already been successfully acquired with encouraging results. The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, is currently in Maiduguri to enable him have firsthand information on the operation, which is still ongoing. More details later…
