Estate Agent Docked for N8m and Scam
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC today May 22, 2018 arraigned one Muhammed Ibrahim Tukur before Justice Emeka of the Federal High Court Kaduna on 3-count charge bordering on forgery and obtaining money by false pretence.
The accused is being prosecuted for allegedly selling a plot of land in 2016 with forged documents.
Count one of the charge read that you, “Mohammed Tukur Ibrahim sometime in 2016 in Zaria Kaduna State within the judicial Division of this Honourable Court with intent to defraud obtained the sum of N8, 000,000 ( eight million Naira) from one Ibrahim Suleiman under the false pretence that you are the owner of the plot of land situated and lying at No. 4 Sambo Kwassalo Gaskiya Layout Zaria covered by Certificate of Occupancy No. KD 9411 and you have the right to sell same a pretence you knew is false and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1(1a) of the Advance Fee Fraud ( and other Fraud Related Offences) Act 2006 and Punishable under Subsection 3 of the Same Act.
He however pleaded not guilty to the charge.
While adjourning hearing of bail application to May 31, 2018, Justice Emeka remanded the accused in prison custody.
