Birnin-Gwari Bandits Kill Villagers, Kidnap Nursing Mothers, Baby
Communities of Unguwar Dan-Baki, Sabon-Layi village in Birnin-Gwari local government area of Kaduna State, yesterday were attacked by armed bandits.

The armed bandits stormed the village around 7.00pm where they killed three people and abducted five men.

They also kidnapped two nursing mothers and an infant of eight days old.

An eye witness, Garba Tanko said:”We were attacked as we are about joining Maghreb (evening) prayers congregation”

The attackers had a field day and carted away cattle use for animal traction by the villagers in their farms.

The attackers are using corridors of Kamuku Forest and Kuyambana Forest in Zamfara state to terrorize farming communities in Birnin-Gwari local government area.

As the military and police personnel are advancing to secure many parts of our territories from armed bandits and kidnappers especially along Birnin-Gwari-Kaduna road as well as Birnin-Gwari-Funtua road, we are calling on the federal government to deploy more security forces to Birnin-Gwari to prevent influx of armed bandits escaping military onslaught in Zamfara state to Birnin-Gwari in Kaduna State.

Chairman, Birnin-Gwari Vanguards for Security and Good Governance.
