OSUN 2018: Prison Officers Deployed for Election Duty
The Controller of Prisons, Osun State Command, Segun Oluwasemire has urged the officers and men of the command deployed to provide security during the coming 2018 Osun State governorship election, to be above board in the discharge of their assigned duties and be good representatives of the Prison Service.
He gave the directive on Thursday, 20th September, 2018 at the State Headquarters’ office, Osogbo while addressing them during a One Day Election Duty training organised by the State Command.
The Controller commended them for their outstanding performances in the last Osun-West Senatorial bye election, held in 2017. He as well charged them to put in more efforts in the coming governorship election to improve on their previous performances.
The Nigerian Prisons Service, is a member of Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) at the Federal, States and Local government levels, necessitates the deployment.
The governorship election is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 22nd September, 2018.
