Army Kills One Boko Haram, other Terrorists Flee in Mairari

Army Kills One Boko Haram, other Terrorists Flee in Mairari
Troops of Sector 3 Operation LAFIYA DOLE deployed at Mairari in conjunction with Civilian Joint Task Force while on routine patrol in Mairari and environs on Sunday 7 October 2018 encountered suspected Boko Haram terrorists.

A member of the Boko Haram terrorists was neutralised while several others fled into nearby bushes with gunshot injuries during the encounter.

Items recovered include:
a. One AK47 rifle.
b. Four  Magazines.
c. One 36 Hand Grenade.
d. 13 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.

Unfortunately, a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force sustained gunshot wound and has since been evacuated to Sector 3 medical facility for attention.

5. The public is therefore advised to report any suspicious movements or activities in their area to  security agency for prompt action.
