Anambra Police Parade Armed Robbers, Murder Suspects

Anambra Police Parade Armed Robbers, Murder Suspects

During the week under review the Command has recorded cases of interest to members of the Public as follows.

1. ARREST OF SUSPECTED HOODLUMS AND RECOVERY OF FABRICATED PISTOL
On the 07/12/2018 at about 7:30am,following intelligence report. Police operatives attached to FSARS Awka arrested at Ekwulobia the following suspects.
– Chimobi Ezeanwa ‘m’ aged 29 years of Umuchiana Village and
-Nkemakonam Obeke ‘m’ aged 24 years of same address.

Exhibits recovered in their possession includes
-One fabricated Pistol and some quantities of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

Case under investigation and which suspects would be charged to Court.

2. ARREST OF SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBER AND RECOVERY OF OFFENSIVE WEAPON:
On the 8/12/2018 at about 4:30am, Police Patrol team attached to CPS Nnewi in conjunction with vigilante group arrested one Chukwudi Onuchukwu ‘m’ aged 24 years of Obofia Nnewichi Nnewi.

Suspect was arrested at Akaboedoji Uruagu Nnewi after inflicting injuries on one Dr Nnabuchi Obinna ‘m” while attempting to rob him of his Toyota Corola Car using a sharp cutlass.

The cutlass was recorvered as exhibit in his possession and victim rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Case are under investigation after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution.

3.ARREST OF A MURDER SUSPECT.
On the 7/12/2018 at about 9:30 pm, Police detectives attached to Ojoto Division arrested one Alonna Onuigwe ‘m’ aged 25 years of Umumpama Village Oba in Idemili South LGA of Anambra State.

Suspect allegedly conspired with others still at large, attacked and killed a trailer driver one Felix Aigbogie ‘m” aged 23 years of Calabar,Cross Rivers State on the 7/12/2018 at about 02:00 am at Oba along Onitsha/Owerri road following a Scuffle.

Case under investigation to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident and effort is ongoing to apprehend other fleeing suspects and bring them to Justice.
