Crashed Helicopter: NAF Announces Burial Day of Gallant Crew Members

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that that two of its pilots and three crew members who died recently from a crashed fighter helicopter will be buried on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

The spokesperson of the Nigerian Airforce, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola in a statement said said the fallen heroes who paid the supreme price for Nigeria would be buried with full military honours on Tuesday.

The statement read thus: “The burial ceremony of 5 crew members, who died in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Mi-35M Helicopter that crashed on 2 January 2019 while providing close air support to troops of 145 Battalion, Damasak, Borno State, is scheduled for Tuesday, 8 January 2018.

“The burial, with full military honours, will take place at the National Military Cemetery, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Road, Abuja by 9.00am. Consequently, you are please requested to detail your press crew to cover the ceremony.”

PRNigeria gathered that the crew members were born in the 1980s and early 1990s. They are Late Flight Liutanant Perowei Jabo who was born on May 23, 1986; Late Flight Liutanant Kaltho Paul Kilyofas, born on June 28, 1989; Late Sergeant Auwal Ibrahim, born on January 22, 1987; Late Lance Corporal Adamu Nura born on December 9, 1991 and Late Aircraftman Meshack Ishmael born on August 1993.
