Shittu Urges LCCI to Involve ICT Stakeholders in ICTEL EXPO 2019

The Honourable Minister of Communications, Dr. Adebayo Shittu has urged Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) to carry along key stakeholders in the ICT sector and the youths in order to have successful ICTEL Expo 2019.

He made the call during a courtesy call by the Chairman, Specialized Exhibition Committee of the LCCI, Mr. Leye Kupoluyi in his office in Abuja.

The Minister stated that the Ministry is in the best position to identified key stakeholders in the sector noting that massive participation of key stakeholders and the youths would make the ICTEL Expo memorable and successful.

In his words, “reach out to the largest number of the end products that will grow the industry in other to achieve the ultimate success. I was privileged to have witnessed two past Expos, and I hope stakeholders and pressmen would be carried along for the ultimate achievement of the set goals”.

He congratulated them for their commitment and a wonderful job executed and enjoined them to drive commerce, trade and culture to the next level in Nigeria in line with the 4th Industrial Evolution on a global vision for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) growth.

Earlier, Chairman, Specialized Exhibition Committee, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Mr. Leye Kupoluyi, thanked the Ministry for the support noting that the ICTEL Expo for this year will concentrate on women in technology and youths.

He reiterated that this years’ Expo will focus on ‘Nigerian Story’ which is being told worldwide and the need to re-focus on the development of human knowledge which the Ministry has been promoting through ICT.

In his words, “it is a full channel of human endeavor comprising of every sector of the economy” and called for endorsement to commence and create awareness for the ICTEL Expo.
