FG commissions Flood control project in Oyo
The Honourable Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, has restated the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to ensure that no part of the country would suffer any neglect owing to its geographical location or political consideration.
The Honourable Minister, who stated this at the commissioning of the Flood and Erosion Control Project, located at Lagely Local Government area of Oyo State, noted that, having such projects scattered all over the country, was a demonstration of the sincerity of purpose of President Buhari towards entrenching justice, equity and fair play to all and sundry.

According to him, the project, funded through the Ecological Fund office, would boost the economy of the Okeayo community and its environs, as well as reduce the dangers to lives and properties associated with erosion and persistent flooding that was the persistent experience within the community.
Speaking earlier, the Senator, representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Hon. Monsurat Sunmonu, who initiated the project and several others within the Senatorial district, urged the people to continue to support the APC administration which was committed to reaching every nook and crannies of the country with dividends of democracy.
The Permanent Secretary, Ecological Fund office, Dr.. Habibat Lawal, represented by a Deputy Director, in the Secretary to the Government of the Federation’s office urged the community to own and care for the project to ensure that the huge resources invested by the Federal Government in the project did not waste.
