Army Spokesman Visits NASPRI
The Acting Director of Nigerian Army Directorate of Army Public Relations (DAPR), Col Sagir Musa has paid a maiden visit to the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) in Bonny Cantoment, Lagos where he charged students currently on course the need for excellence and improved public relations skills in their service to the Nigerian Army, and the Nation.
Col Sagir Musa who was received by NASPRI Acting Commandant, Col Mustapha Anka told the students that the Nigerian Army, in line with the vision of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai which is to have a Professionally responsive Nigerian Army in the discharge of its constitutional roles is a force of excellence, healthy competition among personnel of the service and the increasing desire for excellent public relations and information management skills.
He therefore charged the students to go the extra mile of learning ahead and getting all the necessary skills that will make them relevant among others in performing their duties.
Col Sagir informed the NASPRI family that the Chief of Army Staff has graciously approved financial and logistical requirements for 2019 Directorate of Army Public Relations Study Period and Media Facility visit which will be conducted soon in 1 Division and 81 Division Areas of Responsibilities.
The Army Spokesman warned participants opportunity to avoid conducts that would have negative impacts on the image of the Nigerian Army.
He reminded them pn the need to maintain professionalism, responsiveness, working within stipulated rules and regulations as well as improve civil-military relations.
During the visit, the Acting Commandant took time to make a detailed presentation of the School’s training packages, achievements, prospects, challenges and recommendations.
PResent at the meeting were Principal Staff Officers, Deputy Director Army Public Relations 81 Division and other Assistant Directors of the Army Public Relations serving in some units and formations of the Nigerian Army.
The Army Spokesman was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Colonel MM Dole.
