Police Raid Blackspots, Nab Rapist of Young Girls in Anambra

On the 18/7/2019 at about 7:am, following intelligence report Police detectives attached to Ogidi Division arrested one Dabem Okeke aged 28 years and Okechukwu Okafor aged 37 years all males of Ogidi aniuku village in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.

2. Suspects stormed the house of one Ifenyichukwu Kamsisichukwu f’ aged about 20 years, forced her to open her door and took away her boy friend one Chinedu Okoye ‘m’ aged 24years of Umuru village Ogidi and shot him with a gun.

3. Scene was visited and victim who sustained a gunshot injury on the back was rushed to Twinkle hospital Ogidi for medical attention and was certified dead by a medical Doctor while receiving treatment. Corpse deposited at iyienu hospital morgue Ogidi for autopsy.

4. Meanwhile, exhibits recovered from the suspects include one single barrel gun allegedly used in perpetrating the crime.

5. Preliminary investigation revealed that the principal suspect Dabem Okoye who allegedly pulled the trigger was suspected to be having a logger head with the deceased over a girl friend.

6. Case under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.

7. Consequently, on the 18/7/2019, following intelligence report, Police detectives attached to Eziowelle Division in conjunction with Abatete vigilante group arrested two Armed robbery suspects who have been terrorising the Area with robberies and other heinous crimes namely,

(1) Ifeoma Joy Ugegbe alias “Sabath” ‘f aged 20 years and,
(2) Ifeanyi Chinweze alias “cheplat” ‘m’ aged 19 years both from Oranto Ukpo in Dunukofia LGA of Anambra State.

8. Exhibits recovered from the suspects include one cut to size single barrel gun loaded with a cartridge.

9. Case under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.

10. Furthermore, on the 18/7/2019 following intelligence report, Police detectives attached to Oyi Division arrested one Charles Igwedibia aka Alagbon ‘m’ aged 46 years of Dusogu village, Awkuzu in Oyi LGA of Anambra State.

11. Suspect allegedly had series of unlawful carnal knowledge with a 12 years old girl at Nkwelle village between June and July 2019 .

12. Preliminary investigation also revealed that same suspect defiled another 12 years old girl of same address within that period.

13. Meanwhile, all the victims were taken to Chira hospital Awkuzu and the Medical Doctor confirmed laceration of their hymen.

14. Case under investigation after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution.

-As Police operatives Smashed a Robbery and Car Snatching Syndicate in the State.
On the 17/7/2019 at about 1:40am,following intelligence report,Puff Adder operatives in conjunction with Patrol team attached to B’ Division Awka smashed a robbery syndicate operating close to Roselife hotel, old INEC road Awka and arrested the following suspects,

(I) Audu Paul Victor ‘m’ aged 20years alias “executioner” who hails from Ejule in Ufu LGA of Kogi State but residing at Nodu market road Awka, and,
(I) John Okoli ‘m’ aged 28years alias “ocha”, who hails from Okposhi in Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi State, but resides at Mbaukwu.

2. Exhibits recovered from the suspects includes a locally made cut-to-size single barrel gun loaded with a live cartridge,a tricycle with registration number, IMO UML 452 Q6, and a vehicle identification number 2981.

3. Case under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.

ARREST OF NOTORIOUS PHONE AND HANDBAG SNATCHER AT UPPER IWEKA:

On the 16/07/2019 at about 5:10pm,Puff Adder operatives in conjunction with surveillance team attached to Awada Division arrested one Obi Chinonso ‘m’ aged 25years.

2.Suspect specializes in snatching handbags and phones as well as other nefarious activities at Upper Iweka in Onitsha, Anambra State.

3. The suspect along with other members of his gang who are presently on the run at the above time and date attacked & dispossessed one Michael Ezeala ‘m’ of No 11 Onyekwere street Awada of a cash sum of #180,000, a techno phone k9 valued at 39,000 and other valuables.

4.He is assisting the police with useful information that could help arrest other fleeing accomplices in order to bring them to Justice.

ARREST OF SUSPECTED CULTISTS/RAPISTS :
On the 17/07/2019, Surveillance Patrol team attached to Awada Division arrested three suspected cultists as follows,

(1) Andrew Ejike ‘m’ aged 20 years,
(2) Chidiebere Edwin ‘m’ 19years,
(3) Chisom Christian ‘m’ aged aged 17years.

2. All the suspects who have confessed to their membership of a cult group known as the “SAITARIS” abducted two young girls aged 15 and 17years and forced them to undergo some initiation rituals and allegedly gang raped the two young girls before letting them go.

3. Case under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.

4. In a related development,on the 17/07/2019 at about 8am,Police detectives attached to Ozubulu division arrested one Onyeka Iloka alias “Campus Executioner” ‘m’ aged 25 years of Eziora in Ozubulu.

5. Suspect allegedly lured one Chidera Agina and two others all ‘m’ of the Same address into the bush, beat them with machete in order to initiate them into his cult group “Vickings confraternity”

6. Suspect voluntarily confessed to the crime and is assisting the Police with useful information that could help arrest his accomplices in order to bring them to Justice.

7. Furthermore, On the 15/7/2019 at about 9:pm within Okpuno Awka,puff adder operatives in conjunction with Patrol team attached to ‘B’ Division raided black spots and other suspected criminal hideouts during which two male suspects were arrested namely, Chinonso Nwibo aged 26years resident at Ezeoke street Awka and Attahiru Alaguda ‘m’ aged 29years resident at Maja respectively.

8. Suspects were arrested with a bag containing several well-packaged sachets of weeds suspected to be cannabis sativa, otherwise known as Indian hemp. Other contents of the bag included “solutions”, all hard drugs

9. Case under investigation after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution.

ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY/MURDER SUSPECT.

It would be recalled that on the 16/7/2019 at about 08:am,a Keke rider one Chidi Mbgeanya ‘m’ aged 25 years was shot on the head and brutally murdered at umudioka and his tricycle snatched leaving him in the pool of his blood.

2. Following the incident, Police detectives attached to Dunukofia,Ogbunike in conjunction with vigilante group cordoned off the entire area and launched intensive manhunt for the perpetrators of the dastardly act and subsequently arrested the principal suspect one Chidibere Okechukwu ‘m’ aka “EWETE OKU”

3. Suspect who was alleged to have been previously convicted for a seminar offence equally confessed to the crime and is assisting the Police with useful information that could help arrest his accomplices after which they would be brought to Justice.
