Third-Estate Congratulates New NAPTIN DG

Members of the Third Estate (Ilorin Emirate) in Abuja paid a congratulatory visit to the President of the Group, Malam Ahmed Bolaji Nagode in his Office on his appointment as the Director General, National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) by President Muhammadu Buhari.

In his address, the immediate Past President of the socio-cultural and developmental group, Dr. Yusuf Lawal, Director of Test Administration, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board congratulated Malam Nagode on the confirmation of his appointment and prayed that the Almighty Allah would to continue to guide him in the discharge of his duties and responsibilities.

He urged Malam Nagode to always be guided and propelled by his noble family background and by his enviable pedigree. He thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment and for the appointment of Senator Gbemisola Saraki as the Minister of State for Transportation.

Other members on the delegation also spoke and prayed in the same vein.

In his response, Malam Ahmed Nagode thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for giving him the opportunity to serve the Nation, with his appointment. He also appreciated members of the Third Estate for their continued belief and confidence in him. He assured members that he would ensure that he does not disappoint the Nation in the discharge of his duties as Director General of NAPTIN.

The Director General thanked the Third Estate for recently sponsoring youths from Ilorin in the training and skills acquisition organised by NAPTIN in solar system and renewable energy which he believes are essential for the next level of power transformation in Nigeria.

He assured his audience that NAPTIN has the largest capacity and platforms in West Africa sub region in terms of manpower, facilities and curriculum to train professionals and service personnel in many aspects of power generation, delivery and deployment. He therefore urged the general public to take advantage of the facilities at NAPTIN to train many youths in readiness for the many jobs that are being created in the power sector, as the various governments at all levels and private sectors are massively investing in the power industry.

Malam Nagode urged other socio-cultural groups to emulate the Third Estate by impacting positively on their community as the Third Estate has continued to do for almost three decades.

The Third Estate delegation comprised Dr. Yusuf Lawal, Malam Ibrahim Toyin Hassan, Alhaji Ibrahim Alabi Adebayo, Alhaji Abdulbaqi Jimoh and Alhaji Rasheed Hassan.
