Police Nab Cattle Rustlers, Recover Cattle in Katsina

Police Nab Cattle Rustlers, Recover Cattle in Katsina
1.ARREST OF CATTLE RUSTLER AND RECOVERY OF STOLEN COWS:  On 1/11/2019 at about 02:30hrs, Police Patrol team led by DPO Faskari, responded to a distress call at Kamfanin Mailafiya village, Faskari LGA of Katsina state with a report that unknown hoodlums have entered into the residence of one Saidu Ibrahim, m, aged 40yrs of the same address and rustled his two cows.  The team succeeded in arresting one Ibrahim alias “Dange”, m, aged 20yrs of Dajin Ali Kere, Faskari in possession of the two cows. Suspect confessed to the commission of the crime along with two others at large.  Investigation is ongoing.
2. ARREST OF A MEMBER OF NOROTIOUS ARMED ROBBERY SYNDICATE AND RECOVERY OF STOLEN MOTORCYCLES:  On 14/11/2019 at about 03:00hrs, the Command succeeded in arresting one Aminu Hassan, m, aged 30yrs of Alanka Bakiyawa village, Batagarawa LGA of Katsina state, a notorious member of armed robbery syndicate terrorizing Katsina, Batagarawa and Batsari LGAs of Katsina state.  On 10/11/2019, the syndicate armed with dangerous weapons, attacked the residence of one Abdulganiyu Halilu, m, aged 38yrs of Jiba village, Batsari LGA of Katsina state and robbed him of his motorcycle, Bajaj red in colour, engine No.44671, Chasis No.91173 valued Eighty thousand Naira (N80,000:00), Two (2) Techno and One (1) M-Horse Cell phones.  Suspect confessed to the crime and other similar armed robbery incidents in Katsina.  All the stolen items have being recovered in his possession by the police during search.  Investigation is ongoing.
Similarly,  on 15/11/2019 at about 10:30hrs, the Command succeeded in smashing another gang of notorious armed robbery suspects at Danmusa LGA of Katsina state.  On 14/11/2019 at about 19:30hrs, members of the syndicate armed with dangerous weapons, blocked Likimo – Danmusa feeder road and robbed one Zaharadeen Alhaji Inuwa, m, aged 30yrs of Likimo village, Danmusa LGA of Katsina state of his motorcycle Boxer, red in colour, unregistered, valued one hundred and sixty thousand naira (N160,000:00K).  One Rabi’u Sani, alias “Sawuta”, m, aged 31yrs of Sabuwar Abuja Quarters, Danmusa was arrested and confessed to have committed the crime along with one Sanusi Lawal, alias “Master’, m, aged 28yrs of Unguwar Salele, Danmusa.  Investigation is ongoing.
Also on 10/11/2019 at about 2313hrs, Police Patrol team attached Batagarawa Division, accosted one Aminu Abdulrahman, m, aged 27yrs of Yammawa Quarters, Katsina and recovered one motorcycle Hauhue, black in colour in his possession.  On interrogation suspect confessed to have stolen it in the house of one Usman Umar of Batagarawa township and mentioned one Shamsu Umar, m, of Madacin Yan Nono, 2. Salsiu, m, of Dabaibayawa village and 3. Umar, m, of Kerau Quarters, Katsina as his accomplices (now at large).  Investigation is ongoing.
3. DEATH OF NOTORIOUS CATTLE RUSTLER AND ARREST OF ONE OTHER:  On 11/11/2019 at about 08:30hrs, some unidentified cattle rustlers entered into Fulani settlement camp at Bayan Dutsi, Ruwan Godiya forest, Faskari LGA of Katsina state and attempted to rustle cows belonging to one Abdullahi Kiri, m, aged 60yrs of the same address.  Victim fired a Dane Gun, shot and killed one of the rustlers while the rest took to their heels.  Later the corpse was identified to be that of one Isiya Alhaji Amadu, m, aged 35yrs of Doma Fulani Settlement Camp, Faskari.  Police investigation team succeeded in arresting one Mati Iliya, m, aged 30yrs of Guga village, Bakori LGA of Katsina, who participated in the commission of the crime and whom in his possession the motorcycle of the deceased was recovered.  Investigation is ongoing.
4. CONSPIRACY AND CAUSING DEATH BY ADMINISTERING NOXIOUS DRUGS:  On 17/11/2019 at about 09:00hrs, the Command arrested one Mudassiru Tanimu, m, aged 18yrs of Barhim village, Batagarawa LGA of Katsina state who conspired with one Nafi’u Umar, m, aged 18yrs of the same address (now at large) and prepared a mixture of drug concoction which was administered to people in a wedding event celebration.  Consequently, one Iliyasu Musa, m, aged 25yrs and Rabi’u Sani, m, aged 16yrs of the same address drank the concoction and went into frenzy of unconsciousness.  Victims were rushed to General Hospital, Katsina were the former was confirmed died while the later in a state of deep intoxication.  Suspect confessed to the crime.  Investigation is ongoing.
