Edo 2020: MOC, LOC to Conduct joint facilities Inspection

The FG has stressed that  for the 20th National Sports Festival to achieve its desired success, there is the  need for intensive regular interface and  proper synergy between the Main Organising Committee ( MOC ) and the Local Organising Committee ( LOC ). The Secretary, MOC, Mr Peter Nelson made this assertion at the end of the inspection of facilities today in Benin city. Proper synergy and administration will  greatly boost the success of  the Edo 2020 festival.

Mr. Peter Nelson, the Secretary, Main Organising Committee said the  festival  will host  over eighteen thousand  (18,440 ) athletes made up of 7,400 officials, 752 States delegates, and 1621 coaches for 39 events that will be featuring during the competition.

Dr. Emmanuel Igbinosa, Secretary LOC, in his report assured all that the preparation for the festival in terms of facilities and other line items  have  reached 95 percent completion.

Earlier in his remarks, Mr. Godwin Dudu-Orumen, chairman, Edo State Sports Commission, affirmed that the Edo State government, the host of the 20th NSF has kept its commitment to providing first class facilities for use during the ten ( 10 ) days events.
