“We call on our people to take all necessary precautionary and preventive measures against the Coronavirus based on the advice from the experts.”

“It is now public knowledge that there’s currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

We must therefore protect ourselves and help prevent spreading the virus to others and wash our hands regularly with soap or sanitizer.

We must also cover our nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow when we cough or sneeze.

We should avoid close contact with people who are unwell and heed the advice to stay at home and self-isolate from others if we feel unwell,” The statement called on all Nigerians to intensify prayers to God for the eradication of the pandemic and quick return to normalcy.
