NYSC Boss Celebrates Corps Couple
It was an atmosphere of glamour and aesthetics as the Director -General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Brig Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim celebrated with Corps members; Felicia Haruna and Mark Makafan Odi who completed the national service and set to be joined in holy matrimony.
In a brief but memorable occasion at the NYSC Secretariat, Jos, it was a double blessing to the scheme in the State witnessing the end of  the 2019 Batch “B” stream I service year  and celebrating Corps members, Felicia and Mark for the bold step to unite in love.
Ibrahim who expressed great joy, congratulated the couple for successfully completing their service year. He encouraged them to strife towards higher goals in life while praying for God’s mercy upon them as they establish a new home.
Similarly, the NYSC boss advised the other Corps members who have completed the service year to remain focused and resilient stressing that, there are scarce white-colar jobs and  they should put into flame the numerous skills  acquired via the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) for economic empowerment.
He also encouraged them to stay back in host state – Plateau which is richly endowned with natural resources with a lot of opportunities that abound in the state, untapped. He therefore, charged them to put to practice tenets embedded in the course of the service to excel.
While  declaring a toast to NYSC – made couple, the State Coordinator, NYSC Plateau, Caroline W. Embu, prayed for God’s favours, blessings, success in their marital life and other endeavours.
There was a presentation of gifts to the couple by the Director-General, beautiful rendition by the NYSC Marshal Band, bountiful blessings blessings from other members of staff and well wishers.
