CP Buba Decorates 236 Newly Promoted Police Officers in Katsina

The Commissioner of Police, Katsina state Command, CP Sanusi Buba, psc, has today 27th July, 2020 decorated two hundred and thirty six (236) newly promoted Senior Police Officers with their new ranks at the Police command Headquarters, Katsina. Ten (10) Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) were promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP), four (4) Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) were promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), while two hundred and twenty two (222) Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). The decoration is sequel to the recent nationwide promotion of 6,601 Officers of the Nigeria Police Force.

2. The ceremony was attended by members of the Command management team, Area Commanders, Heads of Department and relations of the newly promoted officers.

3. In his address the Commissioner of Police congratulated the newly promoted officers on behalf of the Inspector – General of Police, IGP Muhammed Adamu Abubakar, mni NPM and enjoins them to see the promotion as a blessing from Almighty Allah. He urged them to be disciplined, loyal and hardworking while at the same time admonished them to eschew indolence, complacency, bribery and corruption and other acts of unprofessionalism, noting that with this promotion more responsibilities are being placed on their shoulders, as the saying goes “to whom much is given much is expected”.

4. In a vote of thanks, on behalf of the newly promoted officers, SP Aliyu Abdullahi, DPO Kafur Division, thanked Almighty Allah for the life and good health to witness these promotions. Furthermore, he thanked the Inspector General of Police and Police Service Commission for finding them worthy of the promotion and promised to redouble their efforts in the ongoing onslaught against banditry and other forms of crime and criminality in the state.
