The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Bashir Jamoh, has assured that NIMASA will collaborate with the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) towards achieving their core mandates.

A statement issued by Aliyu Umar Aliyu, the
    Principal Information Officer (PIO) for
BPSR, explained that the partnership will be geared towards launching reform policy initiatives and also embarking on development research.

Jamoh, who was represented by Dr. Muhammad Kabir Murnai, Director, Reform Coordination and Strategic Management at NIMASA, led a delegation of their management team to pay a familiarization visit to the Bureau, in Abuja.

According to him, the purpose of their courtesy call is to establish a sustainable relationship between their two federal government agencies.

He said: “We are here to see how we can connect with BPSR in order to clearly understand and key into government’s specific priorities, while still pursuing the respective mandates and goals of NIMASA.

“On our part, we promise to help the Agency’s RC&SM Unit develop requisite understanding and capacity for performance.

“We hope to also open discussions with BPSR on the provision of advisory and technical support services for change management teams and working groups in our two institutions, and engendering an environment of learning among MDAs.”

Responding, Mr. Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi, the Director of BPSR, appreciated the NIMASA boss and his management team for the visit.

He pledged that their Bureau will be committed to the collaboration agreement for the mutual benefit of the two agencies.
