Police Nab Lagos Violators of COVID- 19, Engage Special Constables in Zamfara

Lagos CP Personally Enforces COVID-19 Protocols, Arrest Scores in Surulere, Maryland

The Commissioner of Police Lagos State Command, CP Hakeem Odumosu, today 9th January, 2021,personally led a team of Police officers and men to enforce COVID-19 protocols across the state.

The police chief and team lonced on Lounge 38, Bode Thomas, Surulere and arrested scores clubbing at about 1am which was contrary to the state government COVID-19 oreders u Lagos State.

His team also arrested some for violating the 12 to 4am curfew at Marland. He has vowed to do wbetythi g possible with the ambit of the law to enforce the orders and the halt the spread of the pandemic in Lagos State.

CP Tours: Police Engages Special Constables in Zamfara

The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Police Command CP Abutu Yaro fdc, has reiterated his determination to carry along all the relevant stakeholders in tackling the prevailing security challenges facing the State.

The CP gave the assurance during his courtesy visit on the Emirs of Maru and Bakura as part of his familiarisation tour to the two LGAs. While commending the two Emirates for supporting the ongoing peace process of Governor Muhammad Bello Matawalle, he urged them to redouble their efforts by enlightening various communities under them to embrace the peace process.

The Commissioner of Police later addressed Officers and men of the two Divisions including the newly recruited and trained special Constables. He urged them to remain disciplined, apolitical and always conduct themselves in consonance with the Professional ethics.

The CP held an interactive session with Fulani and Hausa community leaders, as well as members of PCRC, where he appealed for their support and cooperation in advancing the ongoing peace process in the State.

The Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Musa Liman Shinkafi said that the government of Dr. Muhammad Bello Matawlle MON, has initiated many laudable Policies and programmes aimed at improving the security and safety of the people. He therefore called on everyone to support the government in this regard.

In their response, the Emirs of Maru and Bakura thanked the Commissioner of Police for the visit and promised to do everything to ensure the success of the peace process.
