Arewa Broadcasters will not Cover PDP Convention over Exclusion of Northern Media
It has come to the notice of the Northern Broadcast Media Owners Association, NBMOA, that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP’s National Convention Committee has decided to exclude all Northern Broadcast Media organizations from the live coverage of its National Convention, scheduled for 30th and 31st October, 2021.

All efforts by our Association to convince the organizers of the Convention to reconsider the decision to exclude Media organizations from the North, have failed.
In view of this development, the Northern Broadcast Media Owners Association, NBMOA, hereby directs its Members all over the North not to cover or make any editorial inputs on the PDP Convention, scheduled for 30th to 31st October, 2021.
We consider this action by a major national party, seeking to govern Nigeria again, as a sign of disregard for the North, from which it seeks to draw support for it return to national leadership.
