Emir of Bichi Appoints FCE Staff as Wakilin Dokajin Bichi
The Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero has approved the appointment of Alhaji Tukur Maitama Ahmed as the Wakilin Dokajin Bichi, Bichi Emirate of Kano State.
The position of Dokajin Bichi is central to the runnings of the Emirate system especially in Kano.
Ahmed is currently Assistant Deputy Registrar at the Federal College of Education (FCE) Kano.
PRNigeria reports that Alhaji Ahmed has served in various capacities in both traditional and conventional institutions including as Ward Head.
He first became the Ward Head of Dukawuya/FCE in 2002 where he spent almost two decades on the seat.
Ahmed would represent the current Dokajin Bichi who is also a District Head at Council sittings with the Emir along with other duties as may be assigned for the progress of Bichi Emirate in general.

Born in 1970 at Dukawuya, Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State, the new Wakilin Dokajin Bichi attended Dorayi Primary School from 1978 – 1984 after which he proceeded to the school for Islamic Studies, Shahuci and graduated in the year 1990.
After some academic break, Alhaji Ahmed later enrolled for a Diploma at FCE Kano where he graduated in the year 2000. He then went on to the Kano State Polytechnic and obtained an advance Diploma in Public Administration in the year 2016. From there, he attended Bayero University Kano where he obtained a combined honor in special education, history in 2012.
He has been a staff of FCE Kano since 1999.
Bichi is among the newly created emirates by Ganduje’s administration.
Other newly created emirates were Rano, Gaya and Karaye, in addition to the existing Kano Emirate Council.
Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero received the staff of office as the second emir of Bichi following his appointment on March 9, 2020 to replace his brother, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, who was moved to Kano emirate.
Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero was coronated as Emir of Bichi in August after the after the epoch-making presidential and royal wedding of his daughter, Zahra with the Yusuf the son of President Muhammadu Buhari
