BUK Mass Comm Class 92 Donates Furniture, Office Equipment to Alma-mater
The Bayero University, Kano (BUK) Mass Communication class of 1992 has donated items worth over a million naira to their parent Department.
The items include a fully-furnished staff common room with laptop computer accessories, television sets, refrigerators, internet facilities and a DSTV, among others.
Presenting the items on behalf of the alumni to the Head of Department, Mass Communication, Dr. Mainasara Yakubu Kurfi, former Deputy Dean, Student Affairs in BUK, Prof Hajara Umar Sanda said the gesture was part of Class 92’s effort to give back to their alma-mater.
“These facilities are not restricted to only staff of the Department, our sister departments, including Media Studies and Theatre Arts are free to enjoy the common room with us,” she said.

While appreciating BUK Class 92 for the donation, Dr Kurfi, assured that the faciities will be put into judicious use by all members of the faculty.
“We have always wanted this coming room and now we have it. We can’t appreciated your set enough for this gesture,” he said.
A renowned Public Relations expert, and a member of the BUK Class 92, Mall. Yushau Shuaib, said they will ever remain indebted to BUK for impacting their lives.
Shuaib, who accompanied Sanda to present the items on behalf of their set, appreciated the Department lecturers for their support and mentorship to them.
He assured that they will carry the mentorship on to the next generation of youths.
On his part, Dr. Bala Muhammad, appreciated BUK class 92 for their consistency in the support they give to their alma-mater.
