An early morning fire has engulfed the popular Monday Market at the heart of Maiduguri, Borno State.

It was gathered that the fire started around 2am on Sunday and has spread to different parts of the market.
However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, but efforts are ongoing to put it out.
