Hajj 2023: Nigeria Records Second Death in Saudi Arabia

The Nigerian contingent to Saudi Arabia for the 2023 Hajj exercise is mourning the death of a female pilgrim from Kaduna state which is the second case of similar fatality in a matter of days.

The deceased whose name is Rabiatu Aliyu hails from Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state and was pronounced dead by authorities on Monday evening.
The Executive Secretary of Kaduna State pilgrims Board also confirmed the incident and gave the deceased registration number as KD14TRK.
The Head of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON)’s Medical Team, Dr Usman Galadima, also confirmed the incident, adding that the first Nigerian to pass on in Saudi Arabia this year was a male who died few days ago.
